I like these types of book。 The authors have done an amazing job with the writing and illustrations。 The plot is the story is interesting。 It just shows that someone that is bad can become good。 It is a great book for children to read。 It takes time to learn how to be a good person when you have been a bad seed for a while。 It shows that you can be a bad seed for a long time, and after something happens, you can become good。 This is a great book for everyone to have!

LOVE this picture book。 It’s filled with great illustrations。 It highlights how it’s okay to not be fully good。 It also shows that it’s okay not to always feel happy, but being good and friendly is a choice we can make。 All put in a funny way with brilliant illustration。

All children know someone who is a troublemaker, whether that is them or someone in their class。 The Bad Seed looks at a troublemaker who just wants to make things bad and messy and why he acts this way。 It's a cute book at looking beyond the expectations or thoughts of others and seeing the truth! This is a humorous tale about redemption and trying to be good, even when we fail。 Some of the bad seed's bad deeds hit a bit too close to home。。。"I'm late to everything。" (p。 6)"I tell long jokes with no punch lines。" (p。 6)Ok, so maybe I'm not late to everything and maybe I just tell long, not-entirely-pointless stories to answer a simple question, but I still had to reflect on my own 'bad seed' behavior。The illustrations are cute, and I love that the not-all-that-bad seed is still as imperfec This is a humorous tale about redemption and trying to be good, even when we fail。 Some of the bad seed's bad deeds hit a bit too close to home。。。"I'm late to everything。" (p。 6)"I tell long jokes with no punch lines。" (p。 6)Ok, so maybe I'm not late to everything and maybe I just tell long, not-entirely-pointless stories to answer a simple question, but I still had to reflect on my own 'bad seed' behavior。The illustrations are cute, and I love that the not-all-that-bad seed is still as imperfect as ever。 I cringe when I think about the roasting that he likely endured enroute to his bad beginnings, but I appreciate that the author kindly skipped over that part。 Overall, it was a fun, fast read and will likely appeal to parents and teachers who want to encourage 'good seed' behavior while still acknowledging the imperfections in us all。 。。。more

This was funny。 It was fun。 It was cute。 It was exactly what I hoped it would be!I wasn't sure I was a fan of the sexual harassment scene (did we really need a "woman" - another seed, but with lipstick etc。 - being leered at?)。 And I was pretty annoyed the common American grammatical error - spit instead of spat - was included。 I feel like there should be proper grammar in such a short book!Anyway, I'll be looking out for the rest in the series。 Overall, I really liked it。 This was funny。 It was fun。 It was cute。 It was exactly what I hoped it would be!I wasn't sure I was a fan of the sexual harassment scene (did we really need a "woman" - another seed, but with lipstick etc。 - being leered at?)。 And I was pretty annoyed the common American grammatical error - spit instead of spat - was included。 I feel like there should be proper grammar in such a short book!Anyway, I'll be looking out for the rest in the series。 Overall, I really liked it。 。。。more

I liked reading this book even though it's for childrenCute story。 Showing that you can change your behavior, when though you are considered a bad seed you can grow into something not so bad if you try。 I liked reading this book even though it's for childrenCute story。 Showing that you can change your behavior, when though you are considered a bad seed you can grow into something not so bad if you try。 。。。more

This book is highly relatable for children with trauma。 Often kids behave in a way that they don't intend because they cannot handle their emotions or anxiety。 This book provided a wonderful and humorous example of a seed growing and changing after understanding its past。 This book is highly relatable for children with trauma。 Often kids behave in a way that they don't intend because they cannot handle their emotions or anxiety。 This book provided a wonderful and humorous example of a seed growing and changing after understanding its past。 。。。more

Sometimes I read books and think, "Wow! I never would've thought to explain this emotion。" This is how I feel about The Bad Seed。 Sometimes, when children make bad decisions regularly, they begin to think they are naturally bad and everyone just sees them as "bad"。 This honestly happens to my son quite often。 I have to remind him that HE is not bad, but he is just making bad decisions。 This can also cause children to continue making bad decisions because they have it set in their minds that they Sometimes I read books and think, "Wow! I really enjoyed the creativity associated with this book。 The illustrations are adorable and the bad seed is a funny little character。 Jory John does an excellent job of developing the perfect personality for the bad seed, which is a lovable little misfit。

My 6 and 7 year old love this book so much that they asked for the others。 I enjoyed reading this with them (over and over again)。 It's one of those books that my kids are excited to read and not just be read to。 Very colorful and I like the little adventure the Bad Seed goes through。 We find out why he's bad and what he's going to do to be good。 My 6 and 7 year old love this book so much that they asked for the others。 I enjoyed reading this with them (over and over again)。 It's one of those books that my kids are excited to read and not just be read to。 Very colorful and I like the little adventure the Bad Seed goes through。 We find out why he's bad and what he's going to do to be good。 。。。more
